Does anyone now if they hire out to put your own nights on friday nights?
If so do I contact venue directly?

Just planning on bringing best bands from warrington and doing a freshers week tour. Any help is great :-)

You can hire the place out for between 60 and 80 quid. That includes one of the sound engineers. Both are really good and know their stuff.
You nee to contact Brian or Ash at the Grapes. I cannot remember who does the bookings.

How easy is it to get to in terms from student areas?

Depends what you mean by student areas. The Grapes is just off west st which is one of the main drinking roads in sheffield. it is about halfway between both Unis. It's just about on the bus route from Crookes, Walkley and Broomhill.
You might have a problem booking a Friday. I know from experience Fridays and Saturdays are booked up months in advance.

Cheers mate. Yeah though would be booked for Friday but any day that week will do as its freshers. No-one picking up the phone at venue must be too busy or not open! Will keep trying...

They dont open until about 7 ish.
