Anybody know why the pedestrian crossing next to Novotel is moving about 10 foot?

It seems a lot of work for such a small move.

Perhaps they are altering the entrance to the hotel, allowing right turns or something?

It does seem a bit odd moving it by only 10ft or so.But then again this is the council at 'work' again

This is being done to allow construction access into the old town hall car park. Also, I belive it is part of the contract by whoever is doing the work, so I don't think it has cost the council anything.
