View Full Version : It's Proper Bo - Al tell thee!
Avid Merrion! do you find him funny or irritating? Personally I think he's proper Bo! It's one of those shows you just find yourself laughing out loud to cos it's so silly.
Love the Mel B & Patsy sketches too - hilarious!
Yodameister 03-07-2004, 14:33 Its pretty funny in small doses. Not sure it would stand up to repeated viewing over a long period.
I have to say I don't 'get' Bo Selecta.
I have no idea why....I just don't.
Joe
mr craig 03-07-2004, 15:30 I find it pretty funny, tho i dont think this series is as funny as the last one.
Very very small doses (no-one can be unfunny all the time... well apart from Jim Davison).
He desperately needs some new gags. The rubber faces and neck brace are tedius now, unless you're 13 and like repeating stuff at school.

They always put disclaimers up though telling kids not to try this at home...
Not the kids ever take any notice of said disclaimers! :loopy:
FairyNormal 03-07-2004, 20:37 Now I'm no prude but I find it tasteless and boring. If I want to watch someone endlessly saying F***, c****, w*** etc then I'd go hang round Mc Donalds and listen to the chavs for a few hours. I really don't see anything funny in it at all.
Maybe I'm just getting old?!!
evildrneil 03-07-2004, 20:59 I have to say I didn't find it very funny - then again someone in a bad rubber mask saying f**k, c**t repeatedly doesn't really strike me as humour *shrug*
very funny most of then time, new series , some of it a little bit too far, he is pushing it. :)

Me neither. I just don't see how it's in any way funny. It seems like it's written BY and FOR 12 year old lads who still find toilet humour and "willies" amusing. To me he is a crude, uncooth idiot that needs to get off TV.
I like the "Mel B" - very funny, makes me laugh.
Can't watch the whole programme though - gets tiresome after a while.
A.B.Yaffle 04-07-2004, 00:56 I don't find most of it funny... and most of the characters are nothing like caricatures of who they are supposed to be! Having said that, I must agree with Lestat that Bo Selecta's interpretation of Michael Jackson is spot on!!
Did anyone see it last night? . . you've got to admit the sketch with the Osbournes was hilarious, Avid 's interview with Jack Osbourne about Kylie - had me in stitches!:P
Yeah you're right mate the osborne interview was priceless.
But he does need some new ideas if hes gonna go to a fourth series. Though I dont think Id ever get sick of his Craig David.
Craig David and Trisha are still highly amusing. The Trisha character is so utterly obscene and ridiculous, with the wonky padded trousers and the whole Jamaican vibe (one love!), has me roaring with laughter.
Chris_Sleeps 06-07-2004, 19:31 Its not awful and its not amazing. The sad thing is the endless copycat imitations of it annoy me to death.
Chris.
