View Full Version : Which Sheffield footy manager will get sacked first ?
canadablade 11-08-2006, 14:21 Paul Sturrock or Sir Neil Warnock.
I cant believe wendy fans calling for his head after 2 games only, even Blades fans wont be calling for Neils head if we lose our 1st games and dont score a goal :D
Sounds like trouble at Sty :D
warnock easily, he is already on thin ice- even after getting us promoted some of the fans don't like him.
wednesday won't get rid- they couldn't attract a better manager if they tried.
dunno but its lookin dodgy for santa:D thats not olden its golden im here all week
jester6881 11-08-2006, 15:50 If Allen stays Sturrock will go.......I think checking the betting odds Warnocks are lower than Sturrocks......
I don't know of more than 2 Wednesday fans wanting Sturrock out; they've wanted him out since he started.
Lots of Blades want Warthog out EVEN though he got you promoted.
Warnock to be sacked b4 Sturrock. Sturrock may walk first though.
Annoni_mouse 11-08-2006, 19:56 King Paul Bollock or Sir Neil Warnock.

Gordon Bennett CB - two threads started today - BOTH about Wednesday:rolleyes:
Your obviously obsessed with us(nowt unusual there for a blade) so c'mon, if you say your REALLY sorry for your years of blasphemy, we'll let you become a Wednesday fan:hihi:
Course, you'll not be allowed to watch the matches with ordinary, decent folk, but I'm sure theres a place in one of the toilets for you?
Let me know....
If anyone got the sack first.....??
Id put my money on wardick..... the trots are in the prem, and it would be easy for them to attract a new manager ... wardick would be out first to save the clubs prem status.... as for us i think we would be better with the manager we have.... cant afford a quick fix... we need someone for the long term who knows what money hes got to play with.... NONE! we have had some **** managers...yorath- shreeves, lets face it who wants to manager a club with out having a big cheque book behind them... we cant afford to attract a "BIG" manager......
"come back big Ron all is forgiven...." Death to Dave richards.... what a plank!
talking to a blade mate off mine yesterday he had heard sturrock on P.O.G. (i had and have not) he said that it sounded like KPS had had enough and allen was out off order and if the same thing was happening down at the lane united fans would have been protesting like they did in the brearley years etc just wondered if anybody else had heard the interview? and should the wednesday fans be protesting and letting D Allan know how we feel about pushing sturrock out if thats the case
Warnock should get a knighthood for what he has done for Sheff Utd as For Paul Sturrock i seen Wednesday fans on tv last season saying 4th bottom would do them ,then hopefully kick on a little bit this season ,hopefully mid table plus ,Sturrock is doing a good job.
What should be happening is hopefully both Sheffield clubs in the Prem in 3/4 years, support both your clubs even in adversity it does help.
i don't think he'll get sacked, but I think Sturrock will go first.

i think colin has had it easy compared to previous united managers the only thing thats kept him in the job is that hes a true blade and most fans relate to him but he will retire when he has had a crack at the prem with united and mcall will take over
sturrock is the best thing thats happend to wednesday for years since big fat rons first spell and he will walk before hes pushed if he does not get what he wants to move the club forward
Gypsy Hack 13-08-2006, 22:37 Both will last the season. Warnock will keep blades up, then a fluke run of results in the 2007/08 season will see them top of the league after six games. England lose to Andorra or something in the same week, and McClaren gets the sack. Warnock replaces him to huge popular acclaim, and picks a squad with 21 strikers and Paul Robinson. Robinson is unused. Akinbiyi becomes lone front man for England, scores a hat-trick on debut as opposition defenders too busy falling about laughing to do their job. Warnock's reign lasts thirty glorious days, whereupon he resigns in disgust because he's not allowed to pick Paddy Kenny in goal. Meanwhile, Sturrock becomes Blades manager after leaving Wednesday in disgust at the board's refusal to shell out £500 and a few goal nets to sign Lee Trundle.
I've missed domestic football.
nikkitheowl 13-08-2006, 23:35 think sturrock will walk.

If this doesn't happen, I'll eat my hat :D
So what if we get hammered by the Scousers on Satdi? WE ARE PREMIER LEAGUE! We'll survive the season and escape relegation, Warnock will have one more after that before moving aside for mcCall. Sturrock, fed up with Wednesday's meagre budget, Allen's interfering, and the fans' impatience, will be poached by a bigger club: Donny Rovers :P
