View Full Version : Frasier Episode
A couple of years ago i saw an episode of Frasier, this was when i wasn't really that 'into' Frasier (i am now ever since we got sky) and i haven't seen it since and no one else seems to have seen it so i'm thinking i might be going mad!
All i can remember is its to do with Martins chair, i think Frasier broke it or got rid of it or something and he has him a new one made and tracked down the old material and everything...its not the one where the people doing the play end up with martins chair! If anyone as seen this episode can you let me know so i know im not cracking up and if anyone has the boxsets i dont suppose you could tell me what series it is and the title of the episode please?
I'm sure I saw that too, they got rid of it. Like you I don't really watch Frasier either. Odd.
I watch it now....a little too much tbh lol, its on everyday on paramount comedy(must get out more, must get more :P ) thats whats prompted the question because surely i would have come across that episode by now
Beakerzoid 10-08-2006, 23:52 The episode you are thinking of is in Season 9 (7th episode) and titles Blaz-e-boy. It is the one where the chair is on the balcony whilst the carpet is being cleaned, and it falls and smashes.
Ar, Beakerzoid thankyou so very much! You know i thought it might have been something to do with the balcony but then thought, how could it have gone off the balcony?!lol. Great stuff! Thankyou! I was on IMDB.com about to look through episode titles to see if anything stood out so you've saved me a task (it was buggin me that much) and its got a quote from it on there and i remember it lol.
[after Frasier accidentally destroyed Martin's armchair, Martin enters the cafÈ where Frasier and Niles are talking]
Frasier: Hey, Dad. Um, taking Eddie for a walk?
Martin: Yeah, I was afraid if I left him home, Frasier would set him on fire and throw him off the balcony.
[later, Martin comes back]
Martin: Well, I've got my coffee. Black, nothing fancy, but if you don't like it, you're welcome to set it on fire and throw it off the balcony.
lol, i'm hoping to catch this episode soon!

Are you certain i remember seeing one on the first series when his dad had just moved in with him and he bought him a new chair because he didn't like his dads old one and he had to act in a kids play to get the old chair back:thumbsup:
Ignore me i'm thick:(
Its ok Craig7777, you did post only a minute after my post saying it was the episode Beakerzoid said, so we'll let you off ;) thanx for trying to help :)

Yeah...that one was season 1, but was the one mentioned in the original post about the actors who used the chair in a play.
Damn....not watched Frasier in a while...gonna have to dig out my seasons again I think.
It's called "Give Him the Chair", from Series 1.
NEKRO138 11-08-2006, 12:11 I'll probably get slated for saying this, but Frasier is Cheers without any of the good characters.

Who knew that you lacked taste and a sophisticated sense of humour?... ;)

There is nothing sophisticated about me. :-)
StarSparkle 11-08-2006, 13:52 "Frasier" is probably the best-written comedy series ever - the sheer audacity of the word-play between the main characters is awe-inspiring at times. The acme of great writing.
A must for anyone who loves words.

Did you ever see Merys (Nials' wife) ?
Did you ever see Merys (Nials' wife) ?
No, never. There was the odd, teasing glimpse from time to time, but you never saw her face. Then again, I missed most of the last series, so I could be wrong.
Best 'Frasier' episode ever: 'The Matchmaker', where Frasier's new boss mistakenly believes that both Frasier and his dad are gay. Closely followed by 'Moondance', the one where Nials confesses his feelings for Daphne.
I like the one where he splits-up with his agent, he's describing her and says "She doesn't worship the devil, the devil worships her", and the agent is pretending to talk to her sick daughter but it's the receptionist in the next room.
I liked the one when they went to the English pub and played darts, dead funny!
Which is the episode that Niles and Daphane are at some posh do and they do a sexy dance together? Think she has a stunning red dress on.
It's before they get together.
P.S. The Chair episode was one of my favs. Brilliant series and thank goodness for Sky repeating it all the time.

'Moondance' from series 3.
