Hi, I'm new to both the forum, and to Sheffield.
I've run a search, but not come up with any cross stitch clubs around the S6 area...anyone out there to help me pls?

I haven't come across any cross stitch clubs before. I'll have a search and see what I can find.

Have you tried having a look in a few of the cross stitch magazines? If they're anything like the UK knitting magazines, they might have a page or two devoted to local groups.

Well that's a bit poor, isn't it?

There might be a cross stitch forum, rather like the Knitty Coffeeshop site, where you might find local cross-stitchers posting. I shall go and investigate...

I've not rec'd any help as yet for this request, but never give up eh? lol

The only cross stitch group in Sheffield I can find is one based at Crystal Peaks (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/in-your-area/libraries/find/all-libraries/crystal-peaks-library) library (scroll down the page to see the details), though apparently there's a waiting list.

There's a UK cross stitch message board here (http://p203.ezboard.com/baionneedlecrafts), but you'll need to sign up for it.

There's also some further information about various email, internet and postal clubs here (http://www.aion-needlecrafts.co.uk/sssi/guild.htm).
