I remember I preferred night clubs to pub in my youth.
To start with was Roxy's of cause.
Then
Maximillions
Romeo's and Juliet's
The Limit.
Josatheens (posh one sorry spelled wrong)
Isabella's
Commercial (gay club attercliffe)
Crazy Daisy
errr any more:confused:

Brain started going must have been all that loud music.

What was the small one next to the Beer Keller, Scamps I think.

Remember many a night straight out of the Beer Keller and next-door in to the club.

Faces thats it! thats the one!

My Dad was the main building contractor on Faces. Me and my brother worked with him in the school holidays of 1976. What a summer. We'd go across the road and spend our 'wages' on cheese cloth shirts and flared jeans. What was the clothes shop called?

They didn’t have topless bar maids but towards the end, just before it shut down they had strippers on Saturday afternoons.

I used to work at Fannys at Owler Bar when it first opened. It was owned by a couple called Gerry and Paula Palfreyman then taken over by Mr Vickers who owned Turnups in Sheffield.

Another 80s nightclub was Cairo Jax

Vickers, the bottom of London Road was the place to be on Thursday, Friday & Saturday in early 80's. I was too young to go in but they let anyone in, including me.

I remember it being Vickers, at the back end of the 70's it was Tiffanys, and on a monday under 18s could go in, I remember dancing to "Is she really going out with him" by Joe Jackson. Towards the end of the 80's it was known as the Locarno, where I met my partner. If you were in the pub before 11pm (front of the building) they opened the doors into the nightclub, so you got in for free!!

The building is destroyed but the frontage is being preserved and incorporated into the entrance to the new flats being built behind.
