The original Jaws, I was only 6 when it first came out, and it put me off going anywhere near a Beach for aaaages after for fear of Shark attacks.

Then  , I read in the paper that some Scientist type bloke has seen a Great White Shark in UK waters! :help:

There are a pair of blonde twins in corp that I'm scared of for the same reason.

They're not natural, I tell you.

I love the book; I like its structure almost as much as the story. My point is that Pennywise is incredibly sinister. The clown is almost a horror cliche these days, but he scared the hell out of me.

There must be something wrong with me then because I found his vile humour hilarious. The shower part with the asthmatic kid. I almost laughed myself unconcious.

King has a way with words though doesnt he? Im reading The Stand at the moment and he really is a brilliant writer.

I like his earlier stuff much more than the later.

How about the bit where the old lady gradually morphs into a German-accented Pennywise in Beverley's old house? Or when he attacks the poor bloke under the bridge ('he looked like he wanted to eat his heart!'). I certainly slept with the light on after reading 'It'.

I did the stupid thing when i was younger of watching Nightmare on Elm Street way before i was old enough (and before i had mums permission) big mistake, mums like women in general are always right! Freddie Kruger gave me nightmares for years!

Apart from that Chuckie from Childs Play, also watched that before i was old enough, that is one horrible doll! Watched the film not long ago though for the first time in years...God what a load of crap!

The clown from 'It' freaked me out abit, i think many people who have a 'thing' about clowns have it because they've seen this film......"Don't ya want a balloon? "

When I was four, I had the Michael Jackson video, Thriller, the full uncut one. It gave me nightmares for a long time. Little did I know that Michael Jackson would continue his reign of terror on children.

I also HATE the little midget thing at the end of Don't Look Now.

I remember The Woman In Black, just! I was about 10 or 11 and it was really late on Christmas eve, and freaked me out so much that I couldn't stop thinking about it, lol.

I think it was the bit, bit fuzzy now, that the bloke thinks that she's gone after making a few things fly about or something, and he turns round only for her to be slowly hovering up to him above his head screaming!

When you're only little, it's not so predictable . There's a few more I can't remember right now

Any of the weird "characters" from the writings of M.R. James. That gentleman wrote the best Ghost Stories you will ever read, he is the undisputed master. Some of his works were adapted for TV in "A Ghost Story for Christmas" shown in the 70`s, like The Treasure of Abbot Thomas, A Warning to the Curious, The Ash Tree and Lost Hearts. If you get his Collected Stories, I promise you will not be disappointed.:wow:
