I am intersted in discovering people's views on this database system.

What do you think are the good and bad points about the system?

I used to use one in Access, it was ok but im sure there are better ones available

It depends what you are planning to use it for.

It's good for small to medium sized databases that will be accessed by relatively few people simultaneously. It also has the advantage of having everything you need to build a full working application 'out-of-the-box'.
It can't really cut it for heavy-duty databases though where you need to look at client / server databases.

One problem I found was that if there are a couple of people using it, only the person that first opened it can save any data in it. Not really that good if you key a lot in and cant save it.

I need to take an exam in this next week and quite frankly I find it a very boring subject.

I don't know what questions will be asked but it is possible that i will need to talk about many aspects of the system and no-dount discuss some of its advantages and disadvantages.

That's not true, you can set the database to allow multiple people to edit it at the same time.
