Anybody know what this latest waste of time on Devonshire Green is? Somebody told me it's some kind of Festival of Fun - they've got a bouncy castle, rap (or rather crap) music and a climbing frame .......... I wouldn't mind but there's nobody there! Why does the council waste our money on these things if there is no demand? Maybe they want to show how "engaged" they are with "yoof" culture!

If you don't know what it is , how do you know it's a waste of time?

Well according to the the City Centre Events Calendar (http://www.sheffield.gov.uk/out--about/city-centre/city-centre-events/city-centre-events-calendar) its the 'Young Persons Festival of Fun' whatever that might be.

Surely there are worse things they could be wasting money on? Doesn't bother me either way to be honest.

They should have a festival for Muslims only with a Bouncy Mosque.

I'd support that - at least it's likely someone would attend and make it worthwhile! This Festival of Fun seems to be a complete waste of time - nobody is there

chav, stop moaning! What is pointless to you is a Godsend to someone else. Devonshire Green is a great social area in the city centre, the Council are just providing some amenities for the public to use. Likewise, if you go to most parks you will find an activity van where you can borrow sports equipment to play with.
