Hi there
I don't know whether this sounds like a starnge request or not ... but I'm a college lecturer (and ex holiday rep myself!) and deliver courses and training for holiday reps and was wondering whether there were any ex reps out there who would be willing to share their experiences with a group of students ... either in person or just by drafting somthing together that I can hand out to them. Any photos would be much appreciated! Or even any old clipboards!!! They love to hear my tales of being a rep ... but never seem to tire of the stories. If you think you can help, please PM me. Much appreciated!

Hi there
shuwarrior51 is right, I know it might sound a bit silly but you need to list the things that you are good at then list the things that you enjoy and then find out which jobs have these sort of skills and activities. Remember you will not get the job that you love unless you can offer the employer something in return.

I did numerous seasons with Holidaybreak (eurocamp/keycamp), running their 'teen clubs'. More than happy to chat to people about the holiday industry/ life as a courier (we weren't reps, always called 'couriers'!). I work in education now and can help on pathways from holiday job to career. Feel free to e-mail me gogojonny@hotmail.co.uk

What type of rep are you wanting? I was a rep for Canvas/Haven in France for 6 months and it was mainly cleaning, whereas my friend worked for First Choice in the Greek islands and for him it was the classic rep stuff of organising groups.
Most holiday rep work in campsites I wouldn't let my mother's dog do, especially as a single courier. Pathetic pay (£90 a week - you're not covered by minimum wage), living in a broken leaky tent, working 80+ hours a week. Nah.
