just realised that I have no idea where my certificate for an NVQ level 2 I took around 1996 is, does anyone know how I can go about getting a genuine copy for myself? I just don't have any proof if someone was to ask me for a certificate.

i lost my city and guilds cert from 25 years ago, i phoned them and they offered to search for the record and send a replacement but it cost £20 so i didnt bother.

You should be able to find out who to contact thru the college where you took it. If they cant provide one, they will have the details for you to order a replacement. If you use the internet readily you could google the whole phrase replacement nvq certificate and see what comes up - bet you find it.

good luck anyway its worth getting it if you're looking for related work, some employers do ask for proof nowadays.

ta, unfortunately the place i got the qualification no longer exsists so i cant contact them.

It seems its 20-25 to get a replacement..IF they can find it?.. bugger!
