please help me from going insane.need to go out tomorrow instead of cooking dinner and doing same old sunday routine.need somewhere cheap and cheerfull and to let the kids run off steam.help....:help:

Depends on the age of the kids, but how about Brewster's near the Arena? They have kiddy stuff for youngsters.

If it's open, there's the open air swimming pool at Hathersage that might keep them entertained.

Should be open given that it's the Holidays still :D

As for Millhouses Park, it's good, it has a Stream and swings and stuff, but it would be even better if the chavs hadn't vandalised the Lido and Paddling pools and forced them to shut 20 odd years ago :(

Rivelin has streams, a waterfall, woodland, playground and paddling pools.

Cannon Hall at Barnsley is a good place to go, we took the grandchildren a few weeks ago, there's an animal farm where you can feed the animals, a good playground, loads of space for a picnic, with picnic tables and benches, no stream to paddle in, we took outdoor games to keep the kids occupied, a good day out was had by all.

hemsworth water park is really good.it has like a little man made beach there.there is a boating lake and a pub and a park.its a great day out.i'm not sure,i think that you pay a pound or so for the car park.:thumbsup:
