I live in an old terraced house that desperately needs 7 internal doors fitting.
Looked in Wickes, B&Q etc but all the doors seem too wide/long for our doorways:confused:
Anyone out there know of a decent joiner or company who could do this job for a reasonable price?
Cheers.

Try Paul Sturch, he is a very good joiner, if you want it in wood he's your man!
No honestly he can do anything!
Call him on 07876 388858
Standard size doors will probably be the ones you need - 30 inch or sometimes 27 inch wide. The joiner can do all the trimming for you as it's very unlikely they'll fit exactly without some work.
I bought a terraced houseworth of doors from Wickes (4-panel pine, no knots, about £30-35 each inc bulk discount when you buy over a certain number), plus all the hinges, catches and handles, then got the joiner in at that stage just to hang them. Some of the joiners I rang were expecting me to have bought all the doors etc so it seemed sensible, and they can quote you per door hung. Also you can be sure they're the type you want.
There was a huge heap of wood shavings in every room as he had to plane a fair bit off some of them, but they'll expect that in old houses that have moved about a bit.
there's a shop on infirmary road, nearly opposite tescos that sells just doors (and fittings).
They also have someone who fits them if you wish, good price, and a really good range of doors available.
I'd recommend that shop too ('Home Decorations DIY' is its not-very memorable name). It's got a good range of stuff (especially exterior doors - which Wickes and B&Q are very poor at) and lovely staff. A proper "fork 'andles" type of place!
