View Full Version : Hotmail gets with it! Lickable 29-06-2004, 13:32 Hotmail sent me an email today informing me that thier account will to 250mb of free storage and you can send and recieve 10mb attachments! Its about time! Rich 29-06-2004, 13:35 I rarely use Hotmail as an email address, only really to log in to MSN. I do sometimes use my Yahoo account though, especially for signing up on certain sites that I think might send me copious amounts of spam. JoeP 29-06-2004, 14:43 I use Yahoo UK as a spam catcher. Every couple of weeks I log in to it, empty the crap, answer the odd good mail that finds me there and then off we go again! Joe eviljock 29-06-2004, 14:47 I do the same as Joe but with HotMail as the spam repository and a login for PassPort. I keep the ISP-provided e-mail solely for friends and trusted companies. Lickable 29-06-2004, 14:58 I have 5 emails, lol. A personal website one, for design clients An ISP provided one for tech support 2 hotmail, one for spam catching and another for easy on the go access mail. And finally one for my mobile, i signed with o2 for convienience. Classic Rock 29-06-2004, 15:06 I've been with Hotmail for years for email - I paid to register my email (well sought after name) and it's my primary email facility. I've also got a Hotmail account for the pub (until I finally get the website off the ground). I have an office job email too which is purely for the office job. Hotmail bugs me when they change their layout (it annoys me too when I delete a message and instead of it going straight to the next message I end up looking at an old one that I'm saving...I've then got to go back to the inbox to choose the next message to read), but other than that I like Hotmail. ToryCynic 29-06-2004, 16:27 I have a Hotmail and a Yahoo Account and people E-Mail both to spread out the storage left as it were. The 2MB on Hotmail would get filled in around 2 days with me. The 6MB took about a week to fill. Now Yahoo has 100MB Inboxes it's much better - only used 2% of it. Alex pacman 29-06-2004, 16:31 Google's is (so far) a lot cleaner and nicer to use than hotmail, I'll probably get rid of my hotmail altogether soon! mr craig 29-06-2004, 16:39 Isnt GMail by invite only now????? if so,if anyone got a spare invite they dont need i'd be happy to take it off there hands. :D;) pjb007 29-06-2004, 20:26 I have 3 hotmail (one general, one website and one junk/messenger) 1 Gmail (I have no invites at the moment) 2 I will class as others 1 University there is my ISP (I think unlimmited) and also my own .co.uk domain (I think unlimmited) I think that that is all of them! noseyrosie 29-06-2004, 20:34 I use my Yahoo! for normal email, Hotmail for MSN, and I signed up for rosie@vampyres.com ages ago. Great email addy but I can't be arsed to tell everybody I'm changing, and I can't keep my address book, old emails, etc there. My sisters got one @ilovellamas.com! pjb007 29-06-2004, 20:53 You can get somthing that ends @your-village.co.uk, providing the .co.uk domain is avaiable at http://www.any-village.co.uk. you can even get uour first name as a user sometimes. Bookey 29-06-2004, 22:34 Got own mail server and mx back up Running with spam assassin to kill it before gets to me. Not had any for quite a while. :D Draggletail 29-06-2004, 23:55 Probably because they are about to get big competition from an innotive (but controversial) new google email system... |
