Moon Maiden

Well I just got some GOOD news. Brightened my day no end. I submitted some poetry to Poetry.com (http://www.poetry.com) a few weeks ago. I had good feedback from friends I thought it couldn't hurt and there were the chance to win some money.
I got a letter today telling me I am a semi-finalist for a cash prize and they also want to include my poem in a printed version of this years poems as well as having the poem online...yay.
So here it is.
Meloncholy Maiden Moon
Flew here on her silver broom
She made you laugh
She made you cry
In her poetry she wished to die
Now the stories have been said & done
Our maiden now must turn and run
Her words were laid in fear and pain
And they may yet be real again
But always as ever
She will endeavour
To greet the new day with a smile
Her fair hair and slate blue eyes
Hide a dark heart full of tears and lies.
So the darkness fades
Just for a little while
It hides behind her wiley smile
And should the darkness re-appear too soon
Thwarted will it be
