Angry Bates to sue Owls chief
WOULD-BE Sheffield Wednesday owner Ken Bates is to sue club chairman Dave Allen for libel.
The former Chelsea chairman's lawyers have issued a writ against Allen for remarks made in a letter to Owls shareholders and season ticket holders last month.
Sounds like he's throwing his dummy out of the pram.
I wish he'd go away.. better the devil we know at this desperate moment in history.. IMHO naturally
Not really keen on ken bates myself but the sooner allen is out the better
......all he's doing is lining his own pockets, charging himself 7% interest on any money put into the club along with the rest of the board...who dont have the clubs best interests at heart.
But i know people will say "he is a business man " but he's not going to take the club anywhere making money
out of a pennyless club!!

I've heard rumours that one of Bate's plans, should he get in, is to sell Hillsborough and for Wednesday to play at the Don Valley stadium. Anyone else heard this?
If that's the case then he can get stuffed.
He said that wasn't the case didn't he?
Before he even became involved at Hillsborough I thought the man was bent.. I still think he is and I'm wary of his involvement. Like I said before, I still think it's better the devil you know at the moment.
I agree to a certain extent with mer1002 and the sooner the current board can be ousted the better, but not to the first cowboy who rides in with a few million in his pocket.
When you see Bradfords current possibly terminal plight, it makes you worry.
I agree with wavey,we shouldnt jump in at the deep end with the first person waving a pile of dosh at us.
but as for the pitch ken bates said at the dial house meeting that he would let the fans buy the pitch so the board couldnt sell it or move grounds !
Dont know how it would work tho' ??
