...gets a 1 day ban.

100's of race watchers have complained about his behaviour.

The RSPCA stated that they could bring a private prosecution but that because the horse was not injured there was little point.

I would love to know why a small headbut is so bad when jockeys can still whack the blazes out off the backside of a horse during a race.

The ******* should be banned for longer - jockeys whip horses in the heat of a race in order to win - this **** assaulted a horse in cold blood, headbutting it on its softest most delicate area with malice - should be done for animal cruelty

She wouldnt enter the stalls so he dropped the nut on the fillies nose.

I would guess that the reason the whip is allowed is because it's to the horses hind quarters which are very tough. Whereas nutting the horses face with your helmet on will cause much more pain and stress to the horse.

Not only would it have caused the horse pain and stress, but it is probably having to share a stall with other horses who are laughing at it because it was assaulted by a midget!

I thought exactly the same! silly little S*** I would have headbutted him (well tried) if I was there.

I can't believe he has done that just because she wouldn't go in the stalls..GRRRR!!

Calm it with the language please folks. I, too, am against any form of animal cruelty, but please remember this is a family forum.

I do however hope the horse gets it's own back and bites him somewhere likely to leave a permanent bruise / scar. :)

I thinkyou'll find the correct spelling is bobar :P

Or was that the elephant?

Wilf

EDIT: I'd rather headbutt a horse than an elephant for that matter

What about midget cruelty Kristian? It's a bloody long drop for a dwarf.
And anyway, I saw it and it was nothing to the trashing the horse would get if it slowed down near the post. A little perspective here guys?

Complain about that not the tap on the nose.:)

The story (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_sports/horse_racing/5241650.stm)

I just don't get the double standards. We have all watched jockeys whipping horses over and over again, faster and harder in order to win.

Why get all doe eyed over a slight headbutt??

The jockey wasn't a retired French footballer called Zinidine Zidane by any chance?
