Just tried to book online on Sheff City Hall's site for the Richard Hawley concert. For some reason the new account registration form will not accept my house number and street no matter what format I put it in.

Anyone else had this problem before?

Are you using the num pad on the right of your keyboard to put them in? If so use the numbers that run in a line at the top of the keyboard instead. Its one of those weird issues that happens sometimes, well it happens to me anyway :)

Nope, tried every combination of keys, number pad, top row, lower case, upper case, combination of cases, putting the info on different lines, separating by commas, full stops, colons, and just about anything else you could possibly think of :D

Nothing worked!

I've just e-mailed them but it looks like I'm heading into town tomorrow now just to make sure I get decent seats!

Strange, I've used the system before with no problems - are you in a hall of residence or new build at all? (Postcode might be too new to handle, or a dodgy one - used to happen to me quite often when I lived in halls of residence)

Who's Richard Hawley and what does he do?

Strange! I've just gone back on the site to check it out again but this time I went straight to the 'Registration' page from the home page. The form displayed is completely different to the one you get if you try to register during the booking process :loopy:

I'm not even going to bother trying it as my wife (bless her) booked them in person at the City Hall this morning

A simple Google search will lead you to this site:

You can either register for news etc on the website, or register as an online booking customer - two seperate systems unfortunately so if you want both, you'll have to register twice...

Hiya, did your wife get some good seats? I booked on-line yesterday and the best seats it came up with were row C in the circle. I'd much rather be closer to the front in the stalls.

I've got a good trick for getting good tickets from City Hall online.

If you prefer to be at the front of the stalls (like we did for Ross Noble and Jimmy Carr [both in November]) then:

Open Internet Explorer, and keep on adding "Best available" tickets until you get some that are pretty decent (you might end up with 40 tickets in your basket)

Then remove the just the 2 decent seats that you've just added from your order.

Now open up firefox, and go on the city hall website.

The next 2 "best available" seats that you add will be the 2 that you have just removed from your Internet Explorer order.

It has to be on 2 seperate browsers so that it looks as though you have 2 different computers to the City Hall website, and the cookies don't get muddled.

Oh, and here:

It's a detailed plan of the seating in the main hall.

The website's online booking is so off with the layout of seats.

When we were booking, seats that looked like they were well over to the right turned out to be dead centre.

Got two tickets right in the middle of row A in the stalls :D :D
