It's may girlfriend's Bday in a couple of weeks and I wanted to organise a family night out, meal and drinks, somewhere!

will be around 15 of us including a couple of kids.

Does anyone know of a nice place where we can book a decent meal and not have to rush off too quickly because we have children with us?

Only place I can think of is Sitwell Arms at Renishaw, but we went there last year!

Wasabisabi on London Road is a great place to eat if you book one of the Teppanyaki tables. They were very accommodating and helpful when we had a do there.

We went to Damon's i think its crystal peaks but not sure for my b/f's 21st birthday and it was gorgeous. He got a free birthday cake and they all sung happy birthday to him, he was well embarrassed!!

I second Damons - we often go as an extended family and the kids love it! plus the food it nice and the cocktails. Nice place.

I wouldn't go to Damon's if you gave me £500.

Frankly, the worst ribs I've ever 'eaten' in surroundings that Mecca Bingo would give their eye teeth for.

Their slogan ought to be: "For people who don't do eating out."

I personally dont eat the ribs but my hubby really rates them, however, each person is different.
