It looks as though England and Yorkshire have found a new star.
Following his display in the match at Scarborough, ADIL RASHID has now been called up to play for the under 19s. Primarily a leg spinner, he has scored a century in the first innings and when called upon to bowl took eight wickets.

Take a look at the scorecard:

Watch out for him in the future.

Absolutely. We need a top class leg spinner. I just hope he progresses further ...... whenever I think of England leg spinners, unfortunately the first name that springs to mind id Ian Salisbury

Yorkshire Academy team are playing Sheffield United up at the SHU ground tomorrow (5th). Should be interesting to see some stars of the future, even if young Mr Rashid is otherwise engaged.

The under 19s game finishes today - but I assume he'd get tomorrow off. Looks like it's headed for a draw - India need 237 runs, England need 6 wickets.

And indeed the match was drawn with 6 wickets left to be claimed.
