Well IMO its a crap, generic, overpriced, busy, nitro-keg and alcopop palace.
I'm sure there are plenty of people who like it though.

its good cos has large cocktail choice, but its always soooooooo busy!

It can be nice if you go early when there's nobody there. As far as I can tell the only place to get a proper mojito in Sheffield (and they do raspberry ones too, yum)

The old Vodka Revolution (on Mappin St) used to be quite nice mid week - think the company got bought out and so the shift to a more mainstream location & market - seems to be doing the job though - its normally rammed..

Now their cocktails are the best I've had!

To be fair whatever you think of revolution, they have found a decent niche in terms of their drinks menu, they sell types of vodka that no one else sells and they also do am fan fooking tastic bunch of flavoured vodkas, but then im biased as i love vodka!

I agree with jake- its definitely got more mainstream. I lived in West One when it first opened and it was completely different then- or maybe that was just me :loopy:

Bia Hoi on Mappin St is still owned by Vodka rev. Think they call it a 'concept bar' or somethin because of it's vietnamese theme. The food and cocktails in there are nice and it's a lovely comfy venue - especially during the week. At Weekends it's busy like everywhere else on West St!

Cubana's on Trippet Lane do a great mohito as well.

Agree with the general opinion that Revolution has gone very mainstream. Full of idetical, orange people and blokes with 'cockatiel' haircuts. Yuk!

Walk 2 doors down from there, Bar 23 - now them's proper Mojitos. :thumbsup:

Vinny at Sola used to do the best raspberry mojitos in the world... not been in there since last summer, but they were damn fine things. :D

old revo used to be the best ever ! had so many good times in there ! if u used to go int here u prob saw me ! ha ha.
new revo used to be good when it first opened but i think the snob in me has taken over, its awful now full of chavs and not that nice any more
