Yip, M Night Shyamalan Has brought us another goodie, hopefully :D

I do love all his films. Due to be released on 11th August, I think, and you can see the trailor here (http://ladyinthewater.warnerbros.com/)

If you watch closely, you can spot him in it too :)

I fear the worst. I have enjoyed all his films so far but this one - well, it sounds completely dreadful.

The clue is in the fact that it began life as a story he made up to send his kids off to sleep.

well its not going to be very scary as its only a PG!

even the advert on tv makes it look rubbish, what a shame!

think he's gone downhill - the village was terrible too!

Just aquired it tonight so I will have a watch and report back!

At the moment- Im going with its going to be bobbins, before I've even seen it as all his work has been going down the pan since sixth sense.. and the village was just god awful.

M. Night Shyamalalalalalalalalalalalalan

Over rated, dull and generic.

I'm looking forward to it. There is only Signs which I was disappointed with from M Night's work. Unbreakable was his best film, in my opinion, and The Village was his most complete story. The only problems there are with his films is that the audience go in only wanting to know what the 'surprise twist' is and so tend not to appreciate anything which occurs before it.

Watched the first 25 mins last night.. my suspicions were confirmed.
Its poor.

I usually like Paul Giamati but even he is a bit poor in this.

The basic premise from what I've seen is that its based on a fairytale/bedtime story about creatures living underwater who want to protect the earth and bring about peace to the world.. but man has gone down the wrong path and they want to steer us back onto it.. and of course, one of the women creatures just has to pop up in paul giamati's pool because he's the pool attendant there at the complex where he works

Think splash and cocoon rolled into one- but this is still poor.

Do you think the film's pants compared to he previous films, or just pants in general?

I quite liked The Village, but if I were to compare it to Unbreakable or The Sixth Sense, I'd say it wasn't as good, but I like to try and keep an open mind :)

Lady In The Water is sounding a lot like The Village though, but we'll see.

Watched it tis morning. Enjoyed it. You can tell it was adapted from a story he told hiskids at bedtime as the story is very fairy-tale-esque. Giamatti is fabulous throughout, and puts his all into the lead male role. Bryce Dallas Howard is well cast as she has an 'otherworldly' look and presence.

However, the film is flawed. There are a few characters that could have been excised from the film (such as the film critic who seems to just be there to poke fun at film critics and doesn't seem to fit in with the rest of the film). The film also keeps reminding you that it is a kids story and you will have to think like a kid to appreciate it....which is un-necessary to be constantly prompted on how to enjoy a film.

However, if you can look past these flaws it is a decent film, and a good attempt at a family film from Shyamalan.

Oh...and there is no twist.

Seeing as M Night has been saying for the past year that there is no twist, I didn't think it was that much of a secret....sorry.

This is his first film he hasnt made with Disney, who apparently he has had a great relationship and understanding with over the last 4 films he has made..............After Disney read the script they said they 'didnt get it'..........Shyamalan walked out on them and took the film to Warner Bros, who promptly green lit the film.

Question is will the public 'get it'
