View Full Version : What do you wear in bed?

Are you a wincyette person complete with bedsocks or do you prefer to wear nothing more than a smile?

I think that it depends very much on the circumstances or am I stating the obvious there?

Don't know how to alter poll. Think I'll let the mods alter it for me.
I didn't realise people went to bed in their 'day' clothes, interesting to see how many others do too. :D

Added extra option, underwear, as I'm guessing that's what you mean by day clothes.

PS It also means I can vote in the poll.:D

It'd be interesting to see the male/female split on the "as nature intended" votes on this pole.

In my (oh so vast) experience men SAY they wear nothing in bed but manage to turn themselves during the night into the Duvet Monster (technical term) which is a man/duvet combination resembling a swiss roll.

OK, a poll as to what people wear in bed may be a bit of fun but as to the state of people's underwear, don't you think that's a shade too prurient?:nono:

I usually wear a t-shirt and my "special bedtime knickers" I have a selection of silky ones, which I never wear during the day cos I prefer cotton. Hubby calls the silky ones my "bed britches" ;)

I wear pyjama bottoms, and a t shirt. I cant wear nighties cos they always ride up, and I wouldn't sleep naked incase there was an emergency in the night and I had to leave the house quickly!!

My other half wears basketball shorts.

was loosely referring to you being naked in bed hence the TJ connection (song) and also you being a 'witch' and wearing a hat - ya know the pointy one (not meant to be offensive in any way as i've no real grasp of what a witch is!)

but i realise now it was a very crap and incoherent attempt to be funny and a little too abstract! :loopy:

In answer to this rather impertinent question; I wear nothing in bed whatsoever. To do so, would be extremely odd in my view. Pyjamas are for children and elderly people, surely? A man who keeps his underwear on in bed with a beautiful woman is, as far as I am concerned, suffering from a repressed sexual neurosis.

Liencam,
Thankyou, dear heart! Let us promote the 'altogether' as the correct, manly way to sleep with a lady. What red-blooded Englishwoman would want to share a bed with some insipid milksop, curled up in Marks and Spencer underpants? Sleep naked, stout men of England! In our ranks march the mighty ghosts of old England past, and their strong arms reach down to us. King Harold [died at Hastings] reputedly slept bare, and one cannot imagine Cromwell or Churchill sweating horribly in tight 'underkecks'. Stark b****** naked is the answer, boys!

I wear one holesum sock to bed....

Why you may ask.

You see when you need to drain the old man at 2am i allways find the Tile's in the bathroom a tad to alarming for my mental state at this time. Now the Genius is that the Toliet is one step away from the door.

Hence therefore no alarming 2am cold floor shocks for me!!

Genius PURE GENIUS!!!!!

Also if there is an emergancy the sock can be removed to cover one's modesty

good job i got a size 11 sock ;)

And yes i did say SOCK!!!

My eyes really can't cope with your posts today timo, I keep spotting celebrities that aren't really there. I could've sworn that said "Burchill" - I almost came out in a cold sweat at the thought of waking up next to Julie in the altogether. Brrr!

In the olden days chaps (Eric and Ernie/Sid James and Tony Hancock) wore pyjamas in bed (and smoked pipes). I have tried desperately to emulate them, but I always ended up with my PJ bottoms 'round my neck and my top somewhere on the floor. So I am now another naked sleeper. I do smoke a pipe though.

I wear nothing in bed, unless I'm after doing something other than sleeping.

When I lived alone in a very drafty flat on Norfolk park I slept in tracksuit bottoms, football socks and a wooley hat. It was that cold. But I would have been ready to run for it had their been a fire.

Depends:

nothing if its hot
slinky nightie if I'm, er, after some
an old Everton shirt if there's a match the next day
PJs and socks if its cold

As for timo's sugegstion about men sleeping naked...well sometimes I find its nicer to have things to take off each other if you see what I mean... :heyhey:

I can't sleep naked - not sure why, because I'm not cold, it just doesn't feel right. I usually wear a slinky nightie, sometimes pyjamas, although they have to have vest tops as I can't stand my arms being covered in bed. I'm quite fussy about what i wear for bed actually - probably put more thought into it than what I wear during the day
