Mighnt just be me but i recently watched aholiday video of me and the family and everbodys voice sounded like them except me.It sounded nothing like me and was really weird.If i sound insane then excuse me.:thumbsup:

I think everyone sounds slightly different to themselves (bound to be a scientific explanation like the sound being a lot closer - in your head in fact)...

I think it always comes as a shock to hear your voice as others hear it, mine always sounds much higher than I thought it was, and my son says his sounds lower!

I always sound odd - remember when I was 15 or so and did German GCSE Oral tests. They would play the tape back to the whole calss and I sounded like I belonged in a German heavy metal band!

I think it's because when you hear yourself speak, you're not just hearing it through your ears but you're also getting the vibration through the bones of your head (which is what allows them to treat some kinds of deafness by implanting something into the bone).
