Anyone noticed that balloonish giant doll on top of Debenhams at Moorhead?
It gave me quite a start.Swaying and threatening to jump.I was tempted to ring the Samaritans -encouraging kids to commit suicide.
And Sheffield First for Safety where are you?Come out of your bunker and get this monster sectioned.

I'm not quite sure I follow your train of thought.

Yes, there is an orange inflatable man on top of Debenhams. Why is this a health hazard? Why is it encouraging kids to commit suicide?

Children learn by copying the behaviour of adults.
Wilf -you have watched kids coming out of the cinema pretending to fire guns and ride horses after a Hopalong Cassidy film.
Now fast forward a vulnerable toddler from Park Hill flats seeing that human-like inflateable balancing on the Debenham's roof ..don't say I didn't warn you.
And where is the Child Protection Unit in all this.Checking out the chat- room groomers if I'm not mistaken.

Maybe I am showing my age, but i don't even know who Hopalong Cassidy is.

As for a toddler standing on the top of Park Hill flats, how did they get there? Where are the child's parents in all this? Surely it if a parent is not able to stop their child getting onto the roof of a block of flats they are to blame?

As for the inflatable, it doesn't even look like a man, it is not even near the edge. Now if the inflatable was person sized and shaped and walking on the edge of the building I would agree with you, but this is going way too far to take it down because someone thinks a child might get hurt in my book.

Besides, I don't think emulating a film is the same as this. The children are emulating something they could have seen (done by real people) in real life. The inflatable man is not a person and so does not have the same effect. Toddlers have also passed the main stage where they élan by emulation, and the emulation theory is only proven scientifically in terms of language.

I think you are making a mountain over a mole hill with this VERY minuscule safety risk and I would rather my taxes that are attributed to the CPU were spent on tackling on line paedophilia to be honest.
