Hi - I have a 4-week old baby girl (my first child) and things are going pretty well, I'm glad to report, except that all of the mother and baby groups I had imagined myself joining have closed over the summer! Does anyone know of any coffee mornings or other activities still running where I can go to meet other new mums?

Where abouts do you live - I think I know of one in the Hillsborough area specifically for under ones (Wednesday 10.30 - 1 at the Memorial Hall on Forbes Road I seem to remember) - used to go with my summer baby, alternatively if you breastfeed there is a group that meets in Hillsborough Childrens Library on a Monday 10.30 - 12.30 that definitely runs over te summer - its meant for breastfeeding mums to go and find out about anything to do with feeding that they want to know but it can also be a really lovely social thing if enough mums turn up (some mums come every week just for a chat):D

i have a 15mnth old girl and a 3mnth old boy we have a family centre in tinsley and it has a mother and baby group running every weds at 1pm-3pm then thurs at 1pm-3pm.the family center has a cafe where we meet and have a coffee. check out www.244.org.uk
