My favourite takeaway is Ghandi, on Attercliffe Road. We live at hillsboro, and must have tried all the indian takeaways there are, but not one beats Ghandis Korma!! (alright if you can class Korma as a curry!)
Unfortunately they don't deliver to Hillsbro.

Shimul on Chesterfield Rd (nr Meadowhead roundabout) is fantastic.
Little India at Gleadless Townend (opposite Blockbuster) is also an amazing Indian.

Both are either restaurant or takeaway!

Gotta be Ayesha's in Dronfield.

I've been to both Shimul and Dil Shad and they dont even compare to it.

For takeaway, you can't beat Akash in Woodhouse. Food is second to none. In fact, I think I'll pick one up on the way home from work. :D

Balti Ghar Indian Takeaway, Baslow Road, Totley is the best I have ever tasted - better than most restaurants. Would recommend vegetable jalfrezi.

After reading your recommendation for Akash I ordered a curry last saturday, they might have been having an off night but my chicken tikka madras was no where near upto scratch, watery and basically rank!.. Hope this was a one off..

Ranmoor Tandoori for decent curry - you can have take aways or eat in and take your own booze. For chinese food, I'd say Dynasty at Crosspool - good chop suey.

Wouldn't recomend Balti King I remember reading in Sheffield Star that they have been fined for rat droppings on their food.

Try Mehran Curry Centre on 0114 2499983

I have to agree with you on Balti King - unless you're really desperate and it's 5am in the morning...

rajput is crap. I dont think u have tried 'rea' curries...with all due respect. As for balti king, food is so so, expensive, but most of all the owners have been fined heavily more than once by the health peeps

My new favourite Indian takeaway is The Eastern Eye in Page Hall. T'other half and I had a mixed kebab starter and a lovely thick and creamy chicken korma from there on Friday night. Loving every bite. :D I'll be going back there next time. ;)
