Hello. Does anyone else have a problem with AOL server. When I've been on-line for about an hour, my computer starts to go very slow then loses the internet connection. I can get back on again straight away but then it will happen again. I've tried a different computer and the problem is still there. Any suggestions please?

Don't use AOL is the first thing that springs to mind. I am trying to be helpful.

AOL software is a sack of do-do IMO. We still have it for 2 reasons....

1. The missus loves the AOL interface

2. Except for a few teething problems, we have hardly ever had any loss of connection. Sometimes i look on here and it seems every other supplier is having problems ;)

The best thing to do is go to live help (AOL Keyword) and ask them. They'll guide you through rebuilding the AOL adaptor etc. If you really badger them, they will run a full check on your line as well.

There is no need to use the software provided by AOHell, just a thought. :)

We have AOL and never use the software because it's pants.

we were having some connection problems until we dumped their modem and bought a netgear one, it's never disconnected since:)

Once tried AOL, the server was "busy" when we tried to sign up...

CD = Binned...

The live help is no good if you keep on getting disconnected, AOL were no help at all!

Thanks for the replies everyone. As suggested. I will try to get them to do a line check. The trouble is, Gupta, the line checker is in Bombay and will probably say, " the problem is at your end".

Hence.. don't use AOL.

I once considered taking my phone to Onetel.. then I called the sales line and asked them what country they are in - and I hung up and left it.
