Not eaten there myself but the prices on the blackboard look reasonable. Good beer there too, if that's your thing. Jabberwocky 27-07-2006, 09:43 When I take a lady out for a good meal, I usually take her to skip. Ok ill leave... *Ryan* 27-07-2006, 09:44 I think the old Queen's Head at the bus station does cheap and cheerful food. Not eaten there myself but the prices on the blackboard look reasonable. Think its like £5 main, £1 starter, £1 pudding.... I've been 2/3 times and it was nice but you dont get a lot... But trust me its lovely, very spicy though! :D *Ryan* 27-07-2006, 09:58 Nando's! Cheap, fresh and tasty. Nandos isn't cheaper, its about a fiver for garlic bread! neeeeeeeeeek 27-07-2006, 10:17 If you don't mind a walk then go to the Fat Cat or Kelham Island Tavern, both have lovely ber gardens and good cheap home cooked food. Down west bar area, it's not that far. nick2 27-07-2006, 10:54 St Pauls Hotel, All Bar One, Mama & Leonies, all fairly cheap and cheerfull. Jazzybmzoo 27-07-2006, 11:10 St Pauls Hotel, All Bar One, Mama & Leonies, all fairly cheap and cheerfull. Cheers Nick. I'm feeling Italian and musical...where's Mama & Leonies? Is that near the library? Meaks 27-07-2006, 11:11 If you don't mind a walk then go to the Fat Cat or Kelham Island Tavern, both have lovely ber gardens and good cheap home cooked food. Good point, but the Kelham only serves at lunchtimes. Not sure about the Cat but think they're the same.
