Guys, my lovely girlfriend and I are up for a cheap bite to eat after work, in town. Where do you recommend? We're not fussy btw.

I think the old Queen's Head at the bus station does cheap and cheerful food. Not eaten there myself but the prices on the blackboard look reasonable.
Good beer there too, if that's your thing.

When I take a lady out for a good meal, I usually take her to skip.

Las Iguanas at west one have a deal on before 6.30/7pm :) Google for the website... Menus/prices.... Think its like £5 main, £1 starter, £1 pudding....
I've been 2/3 times and it was nice but you dont get a lot... But trust me its lovely, very spicy though! :D

If you don't mind a walk then go to the Fat Cat or Kelham Island Tavern, both have lovely ber gardens and good cheap home cooked food.
Down west bar area, it's not that far.

Ethiocubana for something different. Ethiopian and Cuban food, really cheap, nice waitors, delicious food. It's on Arundel Gate and it's my favourite place to eat!
