What is going on with the size of Bubble Bees this year... they are seriously FUGE!!! :o :huh:

Anyone else encountered a monster Bubble Bee!?

Yes I have seen some really big moths this year, everything seems to be getting bigger, must be the weather ;)

ok im gonno open myself for some serious riddicule now

the other day i was down the bottom of my garden when i heard that awfull buzzing bee sound that scares me to death :|

so i turn and see a big bee
i begin to run up the garden steps to the patio i trip and fall i turn to see if the bee is following and it is very close so i turn to cary on crawling up the steps to the back door but as i turn it stings the back of my leg i scream in pain and continue to run into the house crying i sit there for half an hour before phoning my mum and asking what i should do

i have to say it still hurts and my neighbours were out in their garden and im sure they think im crazy now :( :(

I sprayed a bee (dont hate me I'm allergic to the sting) and it must have been an inch long at least twas hucking fuge.

to be fair i can laugh about it now but at the time i was very scared and im glad john wasnt home id never have been able to forget it lol

I once sat on a Bubble Bee after my Mum telling me not to sit on that part of the wall... and agreeing i wouldn't :rant: OMG! youch! i ran in crying she knew straight away what i'd done... her words were " You sat on that Bee didn't you?" tears streaming down my face i nodded! i was only about 6 at the time... i was waiting for my school friend as i did eveyday! :(

At least 20 on my lavender plants this morning - so much buzzing I thought somebody had put an electricity sub - station in the back garden.

i was trying to get to sleep at like 2 this morning. everything was quiet and i heard this knocking sound. i climbed out of bed to switch the lamp on and there was a moth banging on the window trying to get out. i swear it was like 1.5 inch long. its legs were longer than mine lol.
