Just recently my spam mail seems to have changed in that on the bottom of it I get a collection of words which sometimes make sense but more often don't, such as:

A few piroshki, and taxidermist over cyprus mulch) to arrive at a state of ball bearingSherrie and I took football team for (with particle accelerator toward senator, briar patch of coward.Still organize her from paper napkin around, pour freezing cold water on her burglar inside with movie theater for mating ritual.power drill beyond lover wakes up, but about marzipan trade baseball cards with around bottle of beer.
tongue committed cacti metier transferable opec cosmopolitan crystallographer

what's that all about then?

Anyone else get the same thing?
:loopy:

Lola and I took ribbon toward (with defined by salad dressing, chess board living with pickup truck.Still give secret financial aid to her from hockey player behind, fall in love with her widow of insurance agent with related to pine cone.Lola, the friend of Lola and takes a coffee break with pocket inside.

It get's the friendly word content up so try to get past spam filters. They often insert passages from books or films so it appears more legit.

The spam filters are much better though is you use the right ones. I use Cloudmark Spamnet and it's 99% accurate now. My stat's say that it's processed 10,996 emails and stopped 475 spams. It works a treat.

I make that 4% spam - my stats (Mailwasher) say 13223 Emails Received, 3683 Spam Filtered - which is 27% and that's just my work ones! I must be on a LOT of people's spam lists...

The weirdest I ever got was one from someone who claimed to be a time traveller, and was looking for suppliers who could provide him with spare parts for his time machine so he could return to his own time.

Thought it might have been some clever movie promotion thing, but after a bit of Googling, it turned out it was just a nutter*.

* or really was a time traveller.

I think we all are after long enough of having a domain.

Spamnet is out THIRD line of defence. We also have a spam trap at our ISP and another in our firewall.

The final one that everyone can do is to make sure that they have a filter set in thier email program so that everything that isn't addressed specifically to name@domain.co.uk goes into another folder for checking at leisure.
