I've booked for the Saturday with my MIL and friend LadyEleanor 23-07-2006, 19:35 I'd be interested but depends when it is - I'm in Sussex mid-September doing a course on baking in a Tudor bread oven  Dorothy jules13 23-07-2006, 19:42 http://www.twistedthread.com/ this is the link, there's one in Harrogate in November too Hecate 23-07-2006, 20:26 I may be going to this, or the one in Harrogate, depending on how busy I am. I'd really recommended it to anyone who hasn't been before. As well as the stalls, the exhibitions are excellent and you can also book places in various craft workshops. doodle 23-07-2006, 20:37 I wanted to go to the NEC show, but my baby is due beginning of September, so I don't think I will be able to go. Might have to look at the harrogate one, but will be living further down South by end of next week, so it might be too far away. :( jules13 23-07-2006, 21:50 I've been to Harrogate for the last 2 years. Its great but I thought with it being at the end of November it always seems to have lots of Christmas stuff there which is why I fancied this one instead beansforyou 31-07-2006, 22:05 It's my birthday on the 17th September, so I'm going to make my mum and sister drag themselves around there with me :D They're as bad as I am for hoarding and making things though. Hecate 04-08-2006, 05:47 Beansforyou: get there early! Make sure you get the show guide to the stalls before hand and highlight the ones you want to visit then plan your route to them. Believe me, you want to know exactly where you're going! The one I went to at Harrogate was bedlam (in a good way though :hihi:). Get to the popular shop stalls first. I think it was at one of last year's shows that the Get Knitted folk had a major delivery of Koigu just before the show; apparently it was incredibly busy with knitters snapping up the lovely yarn. The new knitting magazine, Yarn Over, might be available early at the NEC too. Make sure you look out for it :) . |
