Apparently the first naked shopping event in the UK has been held in the Plaza shopping centre in Oxford street.

Only 15 people decided to turn up. Is anyone surprised?

Why bother having such a stupid occasion?

I think some members of staff may have felt uncomfortable in such a situation, hopefully they will have been given the option of not having to work.

The organsiers are said to be considering another 'naked event' :D

At the risk of sounding po-faced.....;-)

Do any of these people stop to think that their idea of 'fun' might be embarrassing and awkward to people around them and the shop staff who have to serve them?

It's like the 'flash mob' stuff of a few months ago. Great fun, no doubt, for the participants but not so great fun for shop keepers or bystanders who find themselves dealing with a group that gathers for no good reason, hangs around and has some sort of event, then disappears without explanantion.

I understand that people want to have a good time, but I do honestly believe that you can do that without imposing your will on bystanders.

And on a very personal and practical level - has anyone noticed that many people who like to go naked shouldn't? All that podgy, white or red flesh, with strap marks and elastic marks where their pants have been too tight...bellies drooping over parts further south....boobs that need a string bag.....

Better stop there before I get the opportunity to review my breakfast! :-)

while i agree that it's ewww put it away purrleeasssse!
in a naturists view they would only think that it's a sad and daft world - it being only natural etc

i do find it disturbing however that weirdos may go to naturists camps (or wherever they go) perving away at one and all - that's a perception of course - they may all be really nice people

It'll make shoplifting more difficult!

Check-out girl, "Would you like a hand, sir?"

Male shopper, "No thanks love, I'm in a hurry.";)

I'm not entirely sure that naturism is a 'natural' way to be for a country in the northern temperate zone of our planet.

Native tribes people in those areas (North American Indians, the Mongols, etc. tended to wear clothes of some sort, rather than wander around the forests and steppes stark naked.

I think naturism, in it's own way, is just as affected as wearing designer clobber to go down to the shops.

Clarify please Pauly. You do and you laugh, or you do it and EVERYONE ELSE laughs?

:D

Don't really care. Haven't you ever wanted to do something outrageous just cos it might be fun? It's not hurting anyone and if it gives me and someone else a laugh then why not.

Is British society really that prudish that they're put off by the human body when it's shown for a giggle?
