Although we're a virtual group, it would be nice at some point to arrange meetings, so we could have a good nosey at what we're all doing. With some of us scattered around various bits of the country, I'm not sure how practical that would be though. I do think that it's something to consider for the future.
So, for those who want to get together outside the confines of cyberspace with other knitters, crocheters, spinners and other fibre arts folk, here are the details of groups in the Sheffield area.
Please note, I try to keep this information as accurate and up to date as I can. I am, however, reliant upon other members of the group to keep me informed of any changes. It would be wise to double-check the meeting venues and times before turning up for your first meeting.
Sheffield Knitting and Crochet Guild.
- First Saturday of every month, 2 pm.
- United Reform Church, Chapel Walk.
As well as knitters, this group is attended by crocheters, spinners, weavers and dyers and so would be an excellent opportunity to broaden your skills.
Sheffield Knitterati.
- Please see this (http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/sheffieldknitterati/) link for further information.
Sheffield Stitch n Bitch Group.
- Every Monday 8-10 pm.
- Benjamin Huntsman Wetherspoon's pub (next to John Lewis).*** This is the latest information I have on this group. Could anyone who attends the meetings confirm this, please?
