mikomi, I have not read it all the way through yet. There has been a power cut here for quite a while. I will comment again a bit later but from what I've seen you have the makings of a lovely children's story.
I like the intro, setting the scene regarding the creatures involved and the story line itself which children would love.
And to top it all, it's reminiscent of a Beatrice Potter type story set in a modern environmental setting, which children these days will be able to relate to easily.
The real beauty of it, to me, is that such a work can so easily be developed into a whole series of books for young children. Well done!
More from me later.
To be honest i screwed up ,and i put it on here by error but any comments are welcome good or bad.
I'll have to read it when I get time at work, and your other story, as they refuse to download on my ancient home Windows 98 knock-off copy

Bugger!!! I've remembered that I cannot access communitynet.org.uk whilst at work so some people's works are going to have to remain unread.

I have PM'd you taxman! You don't want to miss my tome when I put it on view, do you? :hihi:
I have managed to read everyone's efforts apart from Mikomi's. Every time I try to open it I get a message telling me wordpad has committed an illegal act and is closing down.
I've downloaded it though and emailed it to myself so I'll try to read it at work instead
