View Full Version : Yet more HOT weather...
bigflesh 21-07-2006, 21:48 The theme continues after a slight thundery incursion this weekend!
Next week promises to be much more of the same in terms of hot weather.
Models are uncertain from Friday onwards, where we could see a sudden downturn to below average conditions due to the possibility of a return to low pressure systems lfrom off the Atlantic, leading the way for more unsettled conditions.
About 6 more days of bliss! (if you can call it that)

Jabberwocky 21-07-2006, 21:49 As long as we get thunder....
melthebell 21-07-2006, 21:53 *farts*
oops sorry

I remember, a good many years ago now, that we were getting temperatures in this time of the year down in the single figures (degrees C).
This has not happened for more years than I can remember.
Nor have we had any bad winters for about 25 years (really bad, like we used to get).
This is surely climate change, but how can it be global warming.
They said a while ago that one recent year was warmer than any year since the 1600's.
That means it was warmer in the 1600's than it is now, so how is it global warming, if it was warmer then than now?
If you see what I mean. :D

Jabberwocky 21-07-2006, 22:23 Humid as hell here.
I dont want to keep harping on about thunder like some obsessive, but...
redrobbo 21-07-2006, 22:25 I'm wake up so hot and sticky at night that I get up and move into the spare room in search of some cool air. Sometime later, I wake up and trundle downstairs to sleep on the settee in the hope that it is cooler downstairs than upstairs. Today I woke up and I was next door! :hihi:

If we all write to Paul Hudson, he may be able to arrange one for you specially. :D
Mind you that is another thing, we get lots of 'grumbling ' thunderstorms, but no really big massive crackling bangeroomies right over the top type of things any more do we?:(

Red, you must go to your GP about your sleepwalking problem, especially with the summer weather upon us... ;)

Thunder has become polite in recent years.
it coughs a bit, apologises, then moves away

That should go in a book of quotations, very good!:D
