View Full Version : Do you have a nickname?
Do you have a nickname if so what and why?
Ok mines Splat lol dunno why really maybe because when i was little i fell out a tree and when i landed i went SPLAT
*Twinkle* 12-06-2003, 06:07 My mates just call me "Capz"
Dunno why
Jinks, because I was always asking for a drink.
Jingle Jangle - coz I was always asking for ice lollies when I was younger!
Rooster - I got chased my one a while ago while 'looking' at the eggs on an allotment.
Titch/Trial Size - am not the tallest person around.
Oh and Chlo
Chloé
PaulTansley 16-06-2003, 19:09 Popeye, cos i have strong forearms due to weight lifting.
Spud when i was at school.
Cas in my teens as i was always chasing the birds.
My nicknames at the moment are strumpf and poisondwarf.I used to get Bjork,Morticia, jinkys (after scoobydoo apparently) mophead and Sophie (off bfg)due to varying haircuts. My username on another site is happybunny.
Most of the time I was just called 'Joe'....
However, for a period in my teens when I played rugby for my school house team I was called Weeble. I was no sylph, but, like the toys....
'Weebles wooble but they don't fall down' - a useful knack for a full back stopping other players!
Joe
Rant.. Rant n' Rave - when I'm playing cricket (some sort of convoluted rhyming slang for Dave... where also Dogs Nob = Bob, Snap n' Snarl = Karl, Spew & heave = Steve etc)
Wavey (Davey) - What my Mom calls me but, less embarassing, one of Bob Mortimers Big Night Out characters LOL
Beast, as still known as such to family and old friends. Its a bit hard to introduce myself as Beast, without looking a complete wally, so I suppose you just had to have been there way back when.
Lickable 01-07-2004, 13:53 I've never really had a nickname... :(
Lindseyw 01-07-2004, 13:54 I've always been called legs. Something to do with me being rather tall and having long legs ;)

BrainThrust 01-07-2004, 18:48 I don't know why buteveryone calls me Wilf, even though it isn't a usual nickname to coem from my name, William.
Then again i'm also called Wilheim by a select few, Flib by a few more and Prometheus when they feel bored, i still don't know why.

Rusted Root 01-07-2004, 23:03 Mophead. Thats mine. My mum always threatens to shove a broomhandle up my butt and use my dreadhead as a mop. Nice.
Mine was Hag. I think it started as an insult but it stuck and I got to like it. One or two very old friends still call me that on occasion and it always brings a smile.
Plain Talker 03-07-2004, 17:53 well, after a certain accident where the waitress ended up having me wear Duffman's dessert the other week, i seem to have (inadvertantly) acquired the nickname "pudding".....
thanks Rich, for that one! ( ;) )

As I am a Nannnan, and use a wheelchair, I have also been dubbed Wheelie-Nan/ Wheelie Nannan!
I was/ am Shel or Shelli... short for my RL name (I bet you could not possibly guess what that is, er.... duh!)
My son calls me "munchkin", or "poison-dwarf" (although the 2nd one less often, thank god!), as I am over a foot shorter than him, the lanky sod, (he's 6'4, and me, when standing, or not in my wheelchair, I'm 5'1)
PT
Agent Orange 05-07-2004, 08:53 My nickname until a few years ago was Mart as I'm called Martin. I now get called Moo by those closest to me, but I have no idea why!!!
