Just been out of the office for a smoke, came back, sat down and found myself stuck to my chair! A large piece of chewing gum has attached itself to the seat of my trousers and despite all maner of rubbing and poking I can't get it off.
Anyone any ideas on how to remove it - preferably using the sort of materials you'd find in a typical office?

Unfortunately the only way i know to remove it would be to put your trousers in the freezer until the gum is rock hard and then you can pick it off no probs, this also depends on if youve a freezer and understanding co-workers in your offce
I hate it when scuzzy people drop gum everywhere
You could try washing the chewing gum off with soap in the toilets and then dry your trousers under dryer?

Hammer it off. All of it.

Another example of how bad smoking is for you.
Try solvents like petrol/lemon ...er.... maybe not petrol
or get an ice cube in a placky bag and rub til the gum freezes. then chip off ...better still get a friend to do it that way you can carry on working and your productivity will not be affected...
wd40 but will prob rot ya trooooosers .. make good air vents ;)

Chewing Gum - Rub area with ice, then scrape off with dull blade. Sponge with dry cleaning solvent; allow to air dry. Wash in detergent and hottest water safe for fabric.
just rub it with ice and it should come off if you scratch it

Have a chew on it, find out what flavour it is, see who in the office chews that particular flavour, and them bill them for a new pair of trousers.
The ice trick should work for the majority of it, until you can get home and do the freezer thing.
'Sticky stuff remover' which is made out of oil of orange works wonders for this sort of thing too, but if you haven't got any you haven't got any!

Thanks for all the advice. Think I might just buy a new pair of trousers instead though....
