I keep hearing about this mega train but I don't know what it is. Can anyone shed any light on the subject for me?

I need to get to London sometime in August for the cheapest I possibly can (on the train though - can't cope with coaches). Anyone know how to get cheap tickets?

Thanks :)

Oh ok - thanks anyway. Has anyone bought a cheap ticket to London in the past with another company? I've been looking online but i'm not coming up with much...

If you look on Midland Mainline, you can get singles for £6. £12 return to London isn't too bad! But you do have to book on certain trains. Worth a look anyway..

Try calling Virgin Trains on 08457 222 333 - sometimes it is even cheaper than on-line booking. Ask for the prices for single tickets each way and returns.

On www.thetrainline.com you could get there and back for about £25.....
