Are proper crap at the moment, GC1, dont even get me started on that. Elements probly the best and thats not that good.

The bars are reyt good but the clubs are crap so come half 11 im always in 2 minds whether to go home or not. Something needs to happen. GC1 has gone down the ******* since its refurb, not going back there again.

Anyone else agree that the bars are good but the clubs are ****?

i happen to think that the bars are just as bad. there's about 4 late bars (well lateish bars) in the whole of the city which is pathetic. The fact that you have to que for ages to just get in a bar is ridiculous. The forum have taken full advantage of this by starting to charge, because they no people will pay due to lack of choice.
The clubs are getting better, with urban gorilla and pin up leading the way. the addition of ahead is also very welcome adding some diversity to the city.

I heard that adelphi at attercliffe was good cant find any info on it though. anyone been recently. GC **** these days need to find some where new.....

I can't name a single club in Sheffield I actually like. There are some good nights just the venues suck. The bars are fantastic I couldn't ask for anything more in the Bars. These days we just tend to go to Bars also apart from when friends are doing nights at clubs in town.

The ahead night was quality, but the adelphi is a bit of a dump.
I must say there are some good bars in sheff, they're just not open late enough. you have to go out really early to make the most of it. It's a bit annoying if you don't want to go to a club but want to stay out past half 11. The only option is going to the few bars that are still open and being squashed in like sardines. Sometimes you have to pay for the pleasure. I wish the council would sort out the licensing laws, it's all very restrictive at the moment.

The clubs and the nightlife in Sheffield have down way downhill over the last couple of years, so bad that me & my friends are venturing out to Leeds and Nottingham at weekends.

Mingdom.... don't get me started on that lol GC1 doesn't do itself any justice, Leadmill my favourite club espechlly on weeknights

I'm running out of ideas and places to go to town

any clubs where they play r&b/urban music? im thinkin bout goin to the uni and i need my weekly dose of hardcore urban.

Unfortunately there are a fair few places that play r&b.

the adelphi is great! just get urself on the meadowhall tram n get off at the technology park n walk down frew the housing esate u can't miss it.

am happy going to planet zogg once a month :) although ahead is tops, ive been last two times.

hi delly, i went to the adelphi at attercliffe when it was headcharge! Oh my what a night, and i have just looked on the Headcharge site to find out that they are doin the headcharge there again. it was a top venue and an even better night! i was a headcharge virgin too!!!!!

i beg to differ, i just think we have out grown them, used to seeing the same old faces, all the time.......

Robbie you love mingdom as ya work there! It's pants, there are loads of clubs out there only short journeys down the motorway

Nottingham, Leeds and Manchester all have vibrant nightlifes!

Maybe it's a little of the "same old S**t different week" or we have outgrown the clubs here, but there is life outside Sheffield, (which is now like a ghost town untill all the students return late August/early September)

Get onto robbie's little creation to read about the start of our many nights out and about (only done notts & leeds at the moment, with manchester in the pipelines)

newcastle was excellent, even though none of u came ha ha....

I agree that the clubs in Sheffield are boring and dated!!
There is a club for everyones tastes indie/rock/dance etc..
But when you get bored of going to the same place all the time,,what then??
I also find myself in 2 minds whether to go home at 11:30, and more often than not i do.
We need some fresh new clubs in Sheff to liven this place up and make people from outside Sheff want to come down and have a great night out!!!

You should try free partys. They get upward of 500 people from all over the place.
