She'll be fine thanks, her arm is cut due to the shards of glass that hit her but apart from that she's ok.

Pleased to hear your daughter is OK.A similar thing happened to me on the last bus from Chapeltown one Saturday night.Coming towards the traffic lights at Kilner way,some kids stood on the bank threw a brick at the upstairs window where I sat.I got shards of glass in my face and eyes.Luckily no lasting damage.
At the time I was working at NGH,I got more hassle from A&E when they found out.Not let me clock in :D .Sent me for head x-ray and said no problem there's nothing in there !Then covered my face with iodine which takes ages to wear off.Don't you just love nurses?:love:

Can't work out the mentality people like these, 'if' they get caught, hope they get really severe sentences, not 2 weeks community service! Its a serious offence. I believe other idiots doing this sort of thing have been charged with attempted murder. They probably won't be caught though.

There have been loads of incidents of this type over the last few years on Halifax Rd and also on Herries Rd. The Police have little chance of identifying them because invariably the victims cannot identify them.

The bridges are the responsibility of the railway network. There are a number of things they could do to stop this but don't due to cost (they could install high wire fencing etc). It may be worthwhile contacting local media to try and highlight the problem and campaign to have the bridges made safer.
