you can get one from a rescue center, thats what we did , tilly started to live outside in a run but eventualy she became a house ferret, she was de sented when we got her and she litter trained very quickly , which was great as we didnt have a wiffy house lol

Hehe that'd be naughty....shall I??!:hihi:

I seem to attract random dogs on the street, I always have, and I did once find a ferret on my mum's garden, so it's quite plausible! Be his own fault for working away this weekend and not being here to control me wouldn't it?:hihi:

How are they with cats?

dont know LM. even though we have cats we havent allowed them out together. mainly because the ferrets are young and we want them to get used to us first. also buzz had a habbit of nipping annd wouldnt want him doing that to the kittens - but as he is getting a little older he is settling. Im sure they could get used to the cats in time but doubt they will ever cross paths other than when the ferrets are out in the runs in the garden. :)

my cats keep out of the way when ferrets are out. I can honestly say ferrets are a great pet always wonting to please and like ive said we have some ready for re homing. We will not give a ferret out IF we think it wont be the right one for you. We have go some hand reared ones here and are a little older but we are getting ready for kit season

I'm sure Maddie and Ginger would keep out of the way, but April is into bloody everything and has to "help" with whatever you are doing:hihi:

Do you keep them inside Jedi? I'm sorry for being so damn ignorant, I know lots about most pets, but ferrets are one animal I've never had any contact with! Do you feed them that specialist ferret food I've seen in the pet shop?

LitleMermaid

jediwarrior

jediwarrior
20-02-2009, 15:35
we keep 1 or 2 inside spooks is in as he is not well he is the one found at aston they are great pets but if you are thinking of it please please do your research as they are not just a normal pet and need some special requirements ie food ect

Yeah we wouldn't get anything unless we were certain we could do our best for them! At the moment, our financial situation is preventing us from adding to our furry family, which is sad, but I don't want to get animals that I can't look after properly, obviously.

I'm still dead curious about the little monkeys though, they are just so gorgeous! And fun, according to everything I've ever heard!

well i will be happy to foster, but only only the fact if they could live inside as my neghbour has a not very nice dog and will eat anything in its path including people lol, so all my animals are inside even my girls ( dogs) dont go outside
