Cavendish, Varsity is lairy-dick-head central.

Varsity is so much better!
Cavendish is full of students. No offence - I was one too a while ago - but now I don't want to go to those kind of places.

But Varsity is full of equally young people who (possibly) arn't students, it's not like Varsity is an oasis of calm and sophistication, there is usually at least one patch of vomit on the floor by 10pm.

Well if I had more choices I wouldn't have gone for either of them. I would have said Takapuna, HaHa bar or Crystal. Varisty is okay though!

cheap is always better than pricey.

i can't stand Varsity on a weekend - they charge you a quid to get in (i don't mind paying a pound but it's the principle), and (no offence) it's full of middle-aged men getting pished up before flooding Reflex or Flares!

On the up side the food is much better than Cavendish!

The food in Varsity is good, however i prefer Cavendish out of the two.

I would say Cav, better clientelle allround... Much busier aswell.

The Cav! Much cheaper drinks and a better atmosphere. You can't get much better than a quid a drink on mondays. Also watching the drunken karaoke on a weds is fun. It's so funny how all of my non-student friends absolutely hate the place :hihi:

Well we enjoyed it in Cavendish, the seats are better, and you sink into them, which I did, and they have large windows to eye up any talent walking past........ which is a good option in my eyes. ;) :thumbsup:

I know because the other week I was sat by the window and saw my bleeding ex walk past so it ruined my night :mad:

I prefer Cavendish. I love drunken karaoke on wednesday nights! And it is cheaper with a better atmosphere in cav.

Dont go in either they charge more to non student punters to subsidise students. Not sure if they still do it but I am not getting ripped off to find out

Cav, different class. Beer garden is quality.

Has to be the cavendish. Bigger, well seated, good beer garden, cheaper! :thumbsup:

VARSITY!
I went into Cavendish with my partner and his friend who is a Police officer.
They would'nt serve us because my partner who ordered the meals did'nt look 24! Even though our friend showed the woman behind the bar her warrant card , to vouch that he is in fact 24 years old! they lost 3 meals that evening! so we went across to Varsity, nice meal , friendly staff.

CAVENDISH....if I HAVE to make a choice....frankly they both are pretty bad but the CAV is the best of the pair....

defo cavendish.... connect four!! need I say more ???

None they are both full of dirty scrubbers..

I prefer Cav at night its great and Varsity at dinner time we go on fridays at work :D

I hate the smell in bars when you go in at dinner time - its like a mix of sick,disinfectant,stale beer and fags - mingin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Strange how u don't notice this at night :hihi: :suspect:
