Thought I’d share this with everyone. Here is a link to buy up to six o2 sim cards for 99p each. If you top up £10 a month, you get FREE 300 texts a month. You used to get free 300 wap mins, but I’m not sure if they have changed it to 1 mb free gprs – you would have to check. If you top up less than £10 per month, you still get (arguably) the best value pay as you go tariff available (Talkalot)
The link below takes you to a page on the o2 website that for some reason is not accessible from the home page.

The link will take you to the relevant page – just click ‘select one of the two 'this tariff’ buttons (depending on your choice) to take you to the next page, click ‘go to checkout’ and start filling your shopping cart!

You cannot order multiple quantities, so you have to go through the whole process separately if you want more than one

Occasionally the page is ‘down’ – just try again later…

If you order a sim, why not post a reply to keep this thread at the top of the page so that others see it and benefit from it?

I'm on this, it was called Genie at one point when I got mine but it is O2. It's no contract or whatever. It's PAYG and when you put £10 a month on, it gives you 300 free texts. I'm not quite sure about the WAP minutes though as I don't use it. If you don't put your £10 on each month you simply just don't get the texts, but get charged for them. When the 300 run out it goes out of your £10. Good for people who mainly text... like me :)

You can unlock your phone anywhere really. Try any phone shop either an Orange one or whatever, or even the one in Castle Market (straight down ramp into fish market and right to end of there it's on your left) Only about a tenner I think??

Also, it only used to be an online offer but I'm not sure now. Some people sell them on ebay I think.

If you don't top up the £10, you just don't get the freebies, just the competative talkalot tariff.
I'ts pay as you go, not contract

I have been on this tarriff for a few years now... since they used to be called Genie.

A few weeks ago they sent me a pack of 6 new SIM cards to give to friends totally free.

To keep on using the SIM, you only have to put £10 on every 3 months so long as you don't run out of credit before then!

Giving them away:o
This must be why they are only 99p - trying to boost their customer base, I suppose

Well it does make good business sense for them, because the actual SIM card costs practically nothing to make, but once they get people using them thats where they get their pennies from!
