Does anyone go to the Speedway race track? Is it any good for a night out?

It's years since I went but when I did I went on a regular basis and certainly recommend it for a night out. Give it a go and see what you think. Do you have any knowledge of the sport or do you just want to try it for the atmosphere etc? Speedway is shown on Sky but it is certainly better being there live.

Hi,

Speedway is very exciting to watch, though the trend in the division Sheffield are in is for one-sided home wins :( which reduces the entertainment somewhat.

However, it's fast and furious, and well worth a night out. Enjoy!

I used to go in the 70s to watch the Tigers.
It was a brilliant night out but you had to watch out for huge lumps of gravel that was kicked up by the bikes as they hit the corners.

yeah, you can get hit by shale, but it's not as bad these days as they have dirt deflectors on the back, so it stops some of it.

or just stand on the straight, that way it doesn't hit you at all
