Managed to get ink on my carpet :mad: - any ideas how I can get it out???

I once spilled an inkcartride for a crappy fountain pen on my bed sheet and my mum poored milk over it to rinse it out. But i wouldn't put milk on my carpet.

After trying everything to get rid of oil in the carpet in my last rented place (including all the stain devils and the like that claim to shift oil), I was advised to use white spirit - it worked a treat and left no residue or stickyness or smell behind afterwards. Apparently it's good for all kinds of stains but I've only tried it on oil.
