basically i got my sky cut of b4 christmas and i havent bothered to have it pu bk on as dont really miss it,other then e4 channel.my mate said that e4 is now a free channel like itv2 and bbc3 is.so y when i put e4 channel on does it say 'to subscribe to this channel pls ring blah blah blah.

my mate suggested unplugging my sky box and maybe when i turned it on i would have e4.....still nothing.y is this?and shouldnt i have it if its now a free channel??

It is free on Freeview but not on Freesat, which is what you get through a sky box. You'd need a freeview box to watch it.
