...no doubt this has been talked about loads before but in general interest how long does it take you to get into work if your travelling from the south of sheff like me?

I work on Penistone Road and live in Halfway - set off at 7.30 to get in at 8.10, we start at 8.30 but if I set off at 8.00 it'll be a good hour if not more.

Worked in Barnsley for a few months and takes the same time - that's from junction 30 to 37, and a much nicer drive.

Its just the volume of traffic on a paticular day....like yesterday it took me 15mins to get from Banner cross to Hanover way yet only took 5 today.I drive the same route everyday normally around the same time.Although when im stuck in traffic i can eat mi biscuits easier!!

I live in X-pool and commute to the airport business park - oh joy!

Yesterday was a nightmare trying to get home with the extra footy traffic!

if you live in halfway surley it would be easier to use the tram...

I drive from Renishaw to the City centre from 7.00 am every morning and it takes me 20 - 22 minutes.

I notice that if I set off a bit later say 7.10, it takes me about 30 mins.
