JoeP's new signature is a bit disconcerting.

"Gardening Leave" (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/member.php?u=3980) is usually taken prior to retirement or resignation or taken whilst on suspension of some kind.

Should we be told?

I've not seen the sig, what's it say?

I always thought gardening leave was specific to having resigned and being told to go home whilst your notice period is 'worked'... a way of stopping you going immediately to a competitor.

I'd love it if that happened to me :D

Just taking a time out after some of my Moderating decisions were questioned.

I've decided to take some time out to chill. Don't get too excited, it's almost certain I'll be back. :)

The matter's with the Helpdesk, and I'd prefer not to discuss it. But basically I wanted some 'time out' to allow my colleagues to just check that I wasn't making too many 'off' decisions.

And with that, I'll close this, if you don't mind.
